I have just rang our vets to book the dogs in for the annuals boosters and I aksed about also getting some more plea and worming treatments and the prices.

The flea treatments have gone up by a fiver and for 2 dogs it is just getting too expensive for us. I was thinking about buying online or something. Does anyone know of any good cheaper sites or of a cheaper alternative to frontline that is just as good.

I did get frontline online, a whileback. I did a search, and it was much cheaper. I got worming stuff too. Sorry i can't remember the site I used but you can def get it cheaper.

I can definitely recommend viovet.co.uk. I have just bought some Drontal XL (wormer) from them. They seem to be one of the cheapest online places, postage is only £1, and your items are delivered (signed for) next day delivery.

Instead of frontline I use Johnsons 4Fleas for immediate results, and also Program Tablets (409.8mg)for long term flea deterent.

Both have worked really well.

As a related question, does anyone know the name of the dog worming tablets you can get which taste good (to dogs) so you can feed them like treats? Our dog had them from the vets a while back, but the last time I bought some they were different (I thought they were drontal) and she spat them out.

I was in a Lloyds Pharmacy today and I'm sure I saw a stand of dog & cat flea/worming treatments-that might be worth investigating.

Forgot to say there was Frontline etc on there .

Pets at Home now sell them, cheaper than my vets.
