swollen teats after first season

hey, our little girl is 9 months and finished her (very long) first season about 10 days ago. She bled for about 3 and a half weeks. She came into season at the same time as our older girl (does that often happen?) but finished about 2 weeks later.
Her teats are still swollen though. I know mu mums dog always gets swollen teats after her heat, but only usually for a couple of days she said.
Could she be having a phantom pregnancy, or am i just being dramatic?
There are no changes in her behaviour and no other physical changes. Her vulva is no longer swollen.

Yes it is possible though perhaps a bit soon after her season - could still just be hormone settling down from the season. I would seriously consider having her spayed though. If this is a false pregnancy she is a higher risk in the longer term for hormone related problem - mammary tumours, uterine infections etc. A straightforwards spay procedure while she is young could prevent a lot of heartache in the future.

hey, thanks for replying. Yeh she is going to be strayed now i think. Our eldest girl is 5 and she didnt have her first heat untill about 18 months so i didn't expect it this early really. Do they still have seasons once sprayed? Stella hasn't been sprayed, but i've never had a problem.

She is old enough to be spayed now. ideally she should have been done before her first season but too late now! (it's a myth that they should allowed to have a first season before being spayed, a lot of vets only say this because it makes their job easier as they can see the bits and pieces clearer after she's had her first season)

and nope, they don't have seasons anymore after being spayed, no more mess! win win situation!
