Aww, how old are they?
I haven't reached the stage of letting mine out yet, he's only 12 weeks

PurplePumpkinWitchyOne · 14/10/2008 16:13

mines been going out for a few weeks, but she only stays out for an hour at most.

the first time i let her out, we smeared cream cheese on her paws to keep her busy!

my 2 have beeen going out for a few weeks now (under strict supervision as the local fox seems to have his eye on them for dinner) and absolutely love it.

they're 13 weeks and i can leave the window open now and they have great fun running in and out and playing with the kids out there.

keep finding that damn fox sitting out there within a few feet of them though

im embarassed to admit it but when we first let our kittens out we tied string to their collars and walked them round the garden! Talk about overprotective........

They will be fine, they probably wont go far the first couple of times and my advice is get a cat flap as soon as you can, they just come and go as they please now.

Mine is 11 and a half (the half is very important!!) weeks old and he won't be going out until he has been neutered and got over it - two weeks after the op. I must be madly overprotective but I worry about him straying. And getting cold.

Flamesparrow · 15/10/2008 16:25

Mine has been going out a few weeks - the vet said she could after her second lot of injections. It started as only when I was out putting washing out etc, but now I am just opening the back door whenever I am home.

She got shut out once for a couple of hours, but just sat on the windowsill waiting to be let in (can't work the flap yet). She only goes out the back though

I am now just desperately wanting her to master the flap and poo outside!!!

PinkTulips · 15/10/2008 17:08

am with you on that one flame... my two come back in from outside to use the fecking litter tray

can't stand the thing and we have to bring rubbish to the dump ourselves as no bin collection so i tend to dump it down the end of the garden anyway... you'd think they'd have gotton the hint from the big pile of kitty litter up there, but no!

Cheeseandseveredfingersarnie · 15/10/2008 22:29

theyre about 14/15 weeks now i think.vet said after 2nd lot of jabs which they had.
cant put in cat flap as renting.
