Just had new kitten inoculated. Also wormed and treated for fleas. Cost me £59! Is that a normal sort of charge?

Sounds pretty usual in terms of costs to me. Have you got pet insurance yet? - that £59 is just for routine things. When they are ill costs can mount up a lot so do give it some serious consideration.
Enjoy your new kitten - they grow up so fast

Thanks beautifulgirls.

I am seriously thinking about pet insurance. Our old cat had an tumour - we didn't find out until it was too late but if we had I'm not sure we could have afforded treatment. Presumably insurance wouldn't cover routine costs.

I'm sure the last cat inoculations we paid for were about £17!

Costs more the first time. Next year will be boosters so should be closer to £40.

Agree pet insurance very worthwhile, but check what the excess on the cover is when you buy it.
