My cat is 14. She has been curled up in her chair and then a few minutes ago got down and is now limping. She was crying when I touched her paw.
Is currently laid on the floor washing herself but whenever she walks, she lim;s.
Please help.
I have had her since she was 5 weeks and I would be devastated it I lost her.

She didn't like me touching her back legs while Dh held her but he thinks she was ticklish? Are cats ticklish?

Ringing vet at 9.30 for advice.

Bless the receptionist. She has squeezed us in at 11.20am and the vet we are seeing was who we spoke too last night.

Went in after 12.

Nothing broken.

Could be arthritis.

On medicine.

Back next Friday to see how she is and peace and rest for the rest of the day.

And I am very relieved and £56.19 poorer!

Yes, she may have to have an x-ray to see how advanced it is but he didn't make it sound bad if she does have it.

Arthritis is treatable. My beloved cat had this for the last few years of her life.
Was 18 when she died from kidney failure - just an old lady really.

Arthritis didn't bother her overly once she was on the medication.

Glad it's nothing more serious though.

Thank you.

She is resting on a chair atm and DH has bought her a new scratch mat.

Hi my cat did the same sort of thing a few weeks ago.
Came in from the kitchen limping and crying. She kept lying down then getting up limping and lying down again.

After about 5-10 mins she was fine, running round etc. Next day she did exactly same and again it passed and she was running round.

Took her to vet and opted for meds not x-ray and she got better (she last limped just over a week ago, that we know of)

Vet thought she might of jumped down and landed funny and hurt her leg.
