It's in a very strange position and it doesn't look happy!

its dead isn't it.

WendyWeber · 03/07/2008 11:27

Ah - eyes glued open too, do you think?

That has made me laugh out loud. At work, where I should not be laughing at a cat glued to a scratching post.

WendyWeber · 03/07/2008 11:28

Sorry

It's not dead! On the bottom right is a picture of him ina different thing for cats. First picture does look very odd though!

WilyWombat · 03/07/2008 11:30

velcro or staples

andiem · 03/07/2008 11:38

it is a very odd position defintely glued or something

WilyWombat · 03/07/2008 11:42

See I thought this was going to be a serious thread and came on to instill some sick humour and upset some cat lovers...oh well will have to get my jollies elsewhere

clutteredup · 03/07/2008 11:44

Ah yes but perhaps it became dead ( died?) during the photo shoot so they decided to carryon regardless - too late to get stand in cat at last minute. The scratching post picture may have been taken after the others.

lazarou · 03/07/2008 11:46

ROFL! Did you see graham norton the other night when they were showing cats in the bath?

clutteredup · 03/07/2008 11:46

Mind you the expression hasn't changed - it could have just been stuck/stapled/blu tacked in a different position in the other picture.

mindalina · 03/07/2008 11:47

Aw, I feel all sad about the idea of that poor cat being dead and affixed to a scratching post in the name of marketing. Perhaps I should get out more

Alambil · 03/07/2008 11:48

My cat holds on to her post like that!!

WendyWeber · 03/07/2008 11:49

ROFL at "became dead" cluttered

I would love to have been a fly on the wall at the photo shoot (a German fly, obv)

Looks just like one of my daft moggies - always getting their claws stuck! (Although not sure I'd buy a scratching post that was designed to cause a problem...)

lazarou · 04/07/2008 14:21

I cannot stop laughing at this. I keep having to open the link, and it's still funny.

itati · 04/07/2008 14:28

That poor cat.

I am so sad I actually looked for an email to contact them about the poor cat. I am sure they weren't that desperate for a photo that they left him uncomfortable.

Lovesdogsandcats · 04/07/2008 18:30

itati i too feel sorry for him
