Why is my cat mewing and wanting attention

She is 10 months old
she has been done

She is wandering around mewing - but if you pick her up she jumps down

Can't be that, Little Bobby is here, upstairs making his room a mess.

My cat has been very vocal today aswell, must be something going on in the feline world
Although mine isn't so much mewing as as 'prrrrbrrrrurrrghhh' ing I don't know what this new cat sound means, is almost like she's trying to master some form of language and talk to me.
They can be very odd creatures

the girl one is so much more fiesty than the boy- she is constantly doing somthing

My girl is really lazy, much lazier than her brother...she loves laps. In fact since I've been pregnant she's been more desperate than ever to sit near my tummy, whereas boycat is completely oblivious.
