Cat pain when jumping

My 1 year old cat came in from outside earlier and seemed okay, snuggled up with me on the couch. He got down to have some food, hopped back up on couch but let out a loud meow as he landed that sounded like pain. He got down again, had some treats tried to get back up again but let out a big pain meow and hesitated and just walked off out to the hall. I'm assuming this is something to do with his legs but I'm not sure. Has anyone experienced something similiar?

Have you checked her nails? If not clipped they can grow round into the paw beds. Hope you find the cause!

We had similar recently with our cat. She was fine again a day or two later, so I assume she had somehow hurt her leg while out and about and it took a little time to recover. Like spraining your ankle or something!

Check all paws and legs and if OK and eating drinking and doing most usual then as PP a sprain.

My dog gets cramp and the world ends!

So he's at the vets, they said it looks like a muscular injury as he seemed in pain when he felt near his back legs. Just worried as he didn't eat this morning as normal, just some treats and hes definitely not himself at all. My first cat died this time last year so very triggering!
