Eek! Goldfish lice? What do I do?

Bought 4 goldfish at the weekend and added them to existing tank which had 2 in. (Tank is big enough).

One of the new fish has a green disc type thing on it's tail. It looks like it has a body inside iykwim. I did a quick google and it seems it might be lice.?

What do i do? Net suggested plucking off with tweezers but I dont think I have the stomach for that. Also what about my tank and the rest of the fish. Will they now be infected too?

Lol. Ruby - stop stalking and come up with something more constructive.

I'm really trying with these darn fish but I'm finding it harder to love them....

Water is clean, had a partial change only 2 days ago. Not being over fed. Other fish seem ok.

I, on the other hand, feel sick at the thought of some nasty clinging to my new fish.

Thanks ruby.

I cant pluck it off. Maybe DH will tonight?

I'm cross at the place I bought the fish from now. And also a bit sad as my fishkeeping efforts seem to have taken a downward turn lately....

gawd. this is too much. It's bad enough the thought of headlice on DDs (not had yet thankfully) but on the flippin' fish

Does this mean my tank will be rife with it now?

I feel like getting rid of the lot
