Dog has constant fleas!

My dog has fleas no matter how much I flea him. I have also bathed him hoping to drown the fleas, washed his bedding, hoovering carpets twice daily but he is still riddled with them. What do I do please?! I have two young children so I have to get this sorted asap.
thanks in advance.

What are you using for flea treatment and is it vet prescribed as most OTC treatments are a waste of money . Treat the house with indorex , not cheap and needs doing properly and repeating but it does work .

@tinyspiny Thank you for your response! at first I was using frontline which I was then told wasn’t good stuff, now I use a website with a monthly subscription called itch and it does say vet approved? Do you think that’s just a sales tactic potentially?

Do you know if that indorex spray is safe to use when you have children or if you have to vacate for a few days? I have an 8 month old who is close to crawling 😩

Get him to a vet. Once you’ve sorted it, use regular vet prescribed flea treatments to prevent re infestation. I would keep children away from indorex whatever it says on the can! And keep hoovering floors and upholstery frequently for several weeks.

Itch works ok.
Indorex is brilliant stuff. It should sort the problem quickly.
You'll need to spray it in the whole house then ventilate the house really well afterwards. I stay outside when this is happening.

I have found the seresto collar really good and I'm really struggling with them as well. But Ive noticed a big drop in the number of them when I got that.

You need proper vet prescribed flea treatment. Not stuff you buy online. And indorex for the whole house.

had this for the first time last year on all 4 dogs. have never seen a flea in 20 years of multiple dogs! all the normal treatment didn’t not work as apparently fleas have become resistant to them so had to have vet prescribed tablets and indorex house. thankfully that works

Itch subscription is the same active ingredient as in Frontline - fipronil, with an added insect growth inhibitor- methoprene, which is not going be enough by itself if the fipronil is not doing the job. You’d be better off going to the vet for prescription meds that best suit your dog’s lifestyle, oral meds might be better if you bath him a lot.

You need a decent vet prescribed product. And Indorex the house.
