Pets4Home: pushy people and phone numbers

Is it normal for people to ask for phone / mobile numbers?! I contacted a couple of people and both are pushing for my phone number off the site because its "easier". I am finding it very weird.

It sounds like a potential scam to me. "Puppy scams" are rife on Pets 4 Homes.

You don't say what kind of pet you are looking for, but P4H is not a good place to get a pet. If you want a specific breed of animal, you are better off finding a responsible breeder; going to shows is one way to do this, or joining a breed club. If it's a dog, the Kennel Club has a register of breeders.

If it's a crossbreed/mongrel/moggy/random rabbit etc. you want, then try a rescue.

Thanks. I am looking for two cats. That's helpful advice.

If you want a pair, rescues always prefer to home kittens in pairs, or if you want an adult cat there are often bonded pairs that need a home together.

I hope you find the right cats (or they find you!0
