Usually done from about 9 weeks old but call your local vets for advice as will depend on the vaccines they are using too. Letting out - difficult one - depends a lot on the nature of the cat and the area including the numbers of bigger cats waiting to beat the poor thing up! Many owners wait until they are neutered and then they are bigger to defend themselves and no hormonal influence on territory etc. Also worth considering having a microchip done when neutered if not before for peace of mind in case he goes missing. Usually neutering done about 6 months old but again check on the policy of your own vet when you ring.

Sounds like you are totally in love already. They are very adaptable little things and have a great ability to cause you to waste time just playing and watching them!

Have fun!

Take him to the Vet for a checkup. he'll also need all his vaccinations before he goes outside. he'll also need to be neutered as soon as he is 4 months old.

as for letting him out, unless you live in a very quiet, rural area, he'll need to be an indoor cat with a run built outside for him. you'll also need to get him a companion as cats really are happier when they have another cat for company.
