Had my cat for 10 years. Since our child was born four years ago we’ve had issues with her on and off weeing on our beds and pooing on the floor and our stuff. She clearly doesn’t like our child as it’s started since then. she was a bit aggressive (hissing at her) at one point but isn’t now.

taken her to the vets, no medical problem it’s behavioural. We can’t afford a behaviourist and our insurance doesn’t cover it.
it’s been extremely frustrating and she goes through periods where she won’t do it and it’s happened again.

weve spent so much money as we’ve had to replace mattresses etc. she’s now not allowed inside our bedrooms and we have bought some feliway optimum. Me and my husband have had enough of cleaning wee and poo.

we have started the process of rehoming her, as we can’t take it anymore, it’s been so stressful, but now I’m feeling distraught about doing it and can’t stop crying and now thinking maybe not. I do love her and I don’t want to rehome her really. I feel guilty. Should I see how it goes keeping her out the bedroom first? I’ve had her since she was a kitten and she is lovely apart from this. I feel so awful. Can this behaviour change?
