Cat weeing/spray everywhere

So my cat 8 years, male, neutred has been peeing and spraying everywhere. He's been to the vets where she suspected stress uti as he was panting ( he hates the vets) and prescribed cystaid and loxicom. I've got feliway plugs, places for him to hide, a litter tray which he does use for wee and poo. I haven't managed to get a urine sample to the vets yet as he hasn't weed in the tray within the window to get it to her. But will try again Monday
I've also given him cat nip. Last night my son forgot to shut his door for a bit. Weve Found loads of fresh stuff thanks to the UV torch. I've also been using enzyme stuff to clean. Is there anything else I can do?? He's slightly over weight and always wants food. He's seems happy but she said owners never think their cats are stressed when they are. Obviously keeping him out of bedrooms is probably making him more stressed.

Pink stuff bio detergent is excellent for cleaning carpets that have been peed on. 10% solution worked well in. It doesn't solve the problem in terms of stopping it happening but may make the mess a bit easier to handle? Hope you manage to find a solution.

Does he go outside?

Did the vet do bloods tests? My cat was doing this and we did similar with feliway etc. Then we had a blood test at the vet and discovered she was in renal failure. Worth getting checked out.

No she just felt him ever so slightly. We put a camera in the hall way ( and did catch him backing his bum up and spraying) still trying to catch his wee for urine test. He threw up the loxicom which they said means he can't have it anymore so I'll call the vet about it later

Did the vet check for diabetes and kidney function, has another cat got inside, has he been in a fight outside and is marking his territory.

She just felt him then says she thinks it's a stress uti. We don't have a cat flap so another cat hasn't got in. He wants to constantly eat so.i did thank about diabetes but he's not thin at all and his fur is so soft . I've called the vets about him throwing the meds up. Waiting for a call back

I wonder if there could be a new cat on the block challenging his territory and spraying outside, so he’s retaliating.
