Suddenly unsettled lab

We have a nearly 3 year old working lab who we've had since a puppy. Very well loved family pet, she is working line but doesn't work. Always been fine sleeping in the kitchen, once or twice since having her, she has woken and scratched the door to go out as needed toilet, always gone back to sleep afterwards. Very well trained and no issues there at all.

The past week she had started scratching at the door from about midnight, all through the night. We go down, let her out, settle her and she's fine but within 1 hour she starts up again. We've tried being calm, tried minimal contact when we let her out, tried using an angry voice with a firm "no".

She also seems a bit off her food - has left it a couple of times recently, but also in general just seems less interested in food. She's not the bouncy dog she was until this last week. She is exercised well.

I am going to book her to see the vets as something just seems off and he behaviour is so out of character but wondered if anyone has experienced similar and has any insight please? Thank you

Could be her first season, UTI. I’d suggest vet check to eliminate a physical issue

Thank you, definitely not her first season though. She was spayed at about 18 months so she's well clear of that too. Just seems so out of character so will definitely take to the vets for a check up and advice. Thanks for taking time to post x

Funnily enough one of mine was like this last week, wouldn’t settle at night and was just a bit off. Turns out he had worms 🤢

I haven't noticed worms and she's fully up to date with flea/worm treatments. I am pleased to say she slept through the night last night so perhaps it was a blip. We do have foxes around here so I wonder if one maybe got into the garden and she could see it. It has also been quite windy but it was calm last night. Will keep an eye on her over the next couple of days!

Is it the heat? It’s been very hot here but was a bit cooler the last couple of nights. Mine have gone off food when it’s been hot.
