My cat died this morning

My cat died this morning in my arms
She cried for me at 6am and I went to her, she took 40 minutes to die but I held her and talked to her so she wouldn’t be frightened
We had her 18 years, from a tiny kitten.
I am absolutely devastated and can’t stop crying

It’s absolutely heartbreaking 💔 my heart goes out to you. I had to have my 16yr old pts just after new year. I was inconsolable for days. My only comfort was I was there, loving her and holding her at the end.

Just sending ❤️.my last cat died in my arms, peaceful. Never ever had it with another pet, last lovely little doggo,PTS 2023 he was almost 18.. it's unfortunately the price of love. What an amazing wonderful age!

It's awful, but what a "good" way to go (sorry, I'm maybe not expressing that properly), but what I mean is that she was safe, warm, dry, well fed, and in the arms of someone who loved her so much. Bless you, and wee Daisy too 🌻

So sorry OP, it's devastating isn't it. What a lovely name, lots of garden plants you could maybe buy one of and put in the garden to remember her by, if that's your thing 💐

I'm so sorry, it truly is one of the hardest things to go through. She was loved all her life and you gave her a wonderful life and she knew that.

I bought an acer when each of my cats died, they're in pots so that if/when I move they come with me. It was my way of remembering them. I was going to put their ashes in the pots but they were sisters so need to be together (as they always were).
