I’m getting a puppy tomorrow

Hello. Picking up the pup tomorrow, getting his den set up and getting my bag ready to collect him tomorrow. Any advice on what treats (if any) to take with me. Have 1.5 hour drive home after, also any other bits to take? Got water etc.
then his den, do I hide some treats in there if so what sort? Toys, do I pop some in? I’ve a selection of treats including high value ones. Just looking for some last minute tips.

do you know what they’re currently feeding?

To take with you: a clean up kit in case he is car sick. Very common with puppies on the way home. X

You should only be feeding him whatever food he’s already on at this stage, not adding treats into his diet.
But yes, definitely feed him in his crate from the time he arrives. Have you put a T-shirt or something of yours in there that you’ve worn? If not that is very helpful. I used an old dressing gown - wore it for a week or two, cuddled them whilst wearing it, then let them have it in the bed to sleep with.

hi, thank you, hadn’t thought of vomiting! Will prepare for that! Wainwrights puppy is what the breeder has been using, got that at home for him. Will be keeping him on that to start with. He’s 10.5 weeks (picking him up later than his litter mates).
thank you hadn’t thought of a T-shirt to put in the bed with him. He’ll have a blanket from the breeder to come home with.
just trying to work out if I’ve forgotten anything.

How is it going? Is your puppy settling in? I pick up in 2 weeks so keen to hear the good and the bad 😀
