Reactive dog what do you do?

Has anyone got any stories of hope for me? My little dog (pomapoo) is so reactive. He is the sweetest dog then he goes absolutely nuts if he sees another dog. Has anyone got any methods I could try? I take him to classes and he’s ok there and they say work with him through obedience but I need like exactly what do u do that works when u meet a dog?

What socialising did you do as a puppy? What is his behaviour like around other dogs? Has he had a bad experience with another dog? There could be any number of reason why he’s reactive and responses on MN are a poor substitute for a behaviourist who can examine and investigate the behaviour.

I have 2 frenchies who are reactive - we socialised them well when they were puppies then covid was really bad for them as we live in the countryside and didn’t get to socialise them as we are remote.

however, they are happy and love people and will ignore sheep! I walk them at 5am due to my work which helps as there aren’t other dogs and we have a large garden.
i think some dogs just don’t like other dogs and as long as they still get stimulated and walked safely it isn’t an issue.
