My cat is missing 8th day

My gorgeous cat Maisie is missing 😔 I was showing a prospective buyer around the house last Friday so popped her outside. She was lying in the sun in the garden and then I’ve never seen her since. Typically I didn’t put her tracker back on her after it had charged as I was frantically tidying for the viewing and popped it in a cupboard, I hate myself for it and we wouldn’t be in this position if I had put it on her.

She barely goes outside to be honest, she’s constantly popping in and out through the kitchen window and doesn’t stay out long at all, probably an hour at a time tops.

We’ve knocked at every door on the estate, put flyers through doors, posters up, posted on Facebook groups and have heard nothing. I’m ill with worry, this is day 8 and there have been no sightings of her. She’s only a year old 😢

I’m really sorry, but don’t lose heart OP. My friend’s cat went missing for five weeks last year, and just strolled back down the garden as if nothing had happened.

I really really hope that happens! I’m past myself looking out the window hoping for her to walk back home.

I'm sorry, I know how you feel all to well.

My cat was missing for 5.5 weeks, it was an horrendous time and I just about managed to function (on auto pilot most of the time). But she appeared at someone's house about half a mile away 5 weeks later. So don't give up, my vet called her my little miracle.

If you haven't, go out looking at all times, mine started showing up at this house at 2am but started getting earlier (she started showing up at 6pm by the end).

Just keep posting about her. I know mine was gone a long time but I always refreshed the posters around the neighbourhood and local shops, did new Facebook posts. Made my own posts public so friends shared them. Stopped the binmen, made the builders aware (they asked about her recently). Also made people aware of her distinguishing markings (she has some).
