about 4 weeks ago, and so far no sign of him at all....!
He is a little Tomcat and we hadn'y gotten round to getting him castrated yet, but were in the process of getting appointment sorted...so, I know, that he may well just gne to sow his wild oats....but, am I realistic at all in continouing t hope he returns?
Sigh, he is such a lovely fellow, so cuddly and playful and just great...!
Some people in the neighbourhood have claimed to have seen him, but I think they probably have just seen a black cat (our Shinobi wasn't the only pure black cat here)...surely, if he was around here, he would "clock" in every now and then and not completely ignore his homestead?

That's what our little black tom cat did when he was younger (sadly died a year ago).

I traipsed around the streets for weeks calling him. As a final resort we posted flyers in every door in the area offering a reward. The next day a little boy from two streets away came round with him. He was starving poor thing and he had been hanging round there for a little while. I had been up that road about 25 times on my bike calling him and he hadn't come!

So there is still still hope then, that he returns!
I hope he will...but am worried as we live right behind a railway line...sigh...

My Tonka has been gone for about he same amount of time. He had been 'done' and ots of oca kids keep telling us they have seen him but there are lots of others around the same colour.
I really hope he comes back too. Once read astory bout a cat coming back after 3 years

Have you tried putting up posters or leafleting?

3andnomore · 16/05/2008 21:37

I am a bit worried about putting leaflats/posters out, because he is pure black, and there are several pure black cats around here,so, people might "catch" someone elsees cat thinking it's ours...also, we don't have any photos of Shinobi, because our PC went down recently, and we lost all pictures we had put on...

Ours was a black cat too. I think people would know if it has been hanging around for days looking lost.
