We have a 10 year old cat and just got a supposed 8 week old kitten (vets thought 4-5 week), she is now nearly 7 week and settling in and tormenting the older cat.
my main concern is feeding time. The cat isn’t bothered by the kitten food, but the kitten will attempt to eat the cat food, which is a 7+ one that I give.
is there a food that is suitable for both stages that isn’t going to cost me £6.50 for 375g with £6.99 postage 🙄. I don’t want to get a big bag because they’d both probably turn their noses at it if I pay £69 a go etc.
at the moment the kitten is in a play pen on a night and her food stays in there for her to access all the time, but the senior cat is on the kitchen floor. I could put it higher up but the kitten loves a challenge!
the only reason I put the older cat on senior food is because it was smaller biscuits etc as she has a tendency to swallow it whole and then puke it back up. The senior food tends to stay down more often. They both have wet food as well as biscuits.
