I've recently heard the story of a single lady who lives in a village near me - she apparently owns six dogs. She walks the dogs daily but when not walking them at least some are kept in a van for hours on end.
This seems to me like a prime example of mistreatment and neglect, and there's also the distinct possibility of the van overheating despite having air vents in the roof.
A while back both the RSPCA and the local police were notified but they did nothing.
What else can be done about this? Are there any other authorities that could be contacted but who would actually make an effort to resolve the matter to the benefit of the dogs?
