I’m currently working on my master’s research focused on the fascinating relationships between humans and reptiles, and I need YOUR help! I've put together a questionnaire to gather your thoughts and experiences on this topic.

I don't have a "gender identity" so can't get past that

Hi there thank you for taking the time to look at my survey, I value your opinion on the relationship you have with your reptile and would love to have your input.

The first question is designed to be as inclusive as possible allowing you to enter male, female, non-binary or any gender identity. However, I have also designed the questionnaire so you do not have to answer this question if you would prefer not to and you can proceed with the rest of the questionnaire.

I'd love to see this when it's done! I got my PhD and postdocs in a 'parallel' field and keep lots of exotics. This sounds interesting!

What about phobics? We have a "relationship". In that cannot bear certain words, cannot see images, turn off films. Mine was triggered as a child. Only found out decades later that my mum, biologist, had the same phobia.

The question on gender identity is optional so you can choose not to enter a response and fill in the rest of the questionnaire if you'd prefer.

Hi there, thank you for your response, I completely understand where you are coming from but this research is based upon the relationship reptile keepers have with their animals for example there are questions in the survey regarding the behaviour their animals are exhibiting and the way in which the animal is kept. I appreciate your input though.

Appreciate your reply. Would love to do similar on cats. I rescue a certain pedigree, and their very different behaviour based on prior life is very interesting. I wish you well with your research.
