Hi everyone. I am a student at Northampton University and I am completing my dissertation on the behaviour of rescue dogs. If you have or have had rescue dogs could spare some time to fill out my survey, or share with people who have rescue dogs I would really appreciate it! Have responded. Good luck with your dissertation, important field imo.

Have completed, good luck!
You may also want to post this in The Doghouse section too as I think it gets more dog owner traffic.

My dog was from the rspca. They were completely obsessed with the height of my fences and really didn't much care about anything else. She is our first ever dog and we definitely could have done with a bit of support. Especially, as I have said on my survey answers, she was returned to the rspca once already because she was a handful.

Have completed, interesting survey and good luck with the dissertation.

Completed .
@ASK0120 as pp says you'll get far more responses if you post this in The Doghouse

I've read a bit of the opening section but my DDog doesn't fit the categories as it was a "home to home" adoption co-ordinated through a rescue charity.

So they weren't in a foster home, rescue centre or on the streets.

RSPCA were great with us, yes they checked height of fences and questioned me on dog psychology ( via the dog warden) and matched us with an abandoned Lurcher puppy found after Travellers had been evicted from a site.

They said as a puppy she had a chance to be a “ good” dog for a first time owner as she wouldn’t have had time to get into bad habits.

She’d never lived indoors or had a collar on til we adopted her at about 12 weeks old.

Easy to train and a dream dog!
