Cat weeing on beds

Our 12 yr old cat has started weeing on beds. Try to keep doors shut but inevitably she finds a way in. It's so annoying having to wash everything, maybe once a week. We are about to move house so she might be stressed but it started before we began packing. Should we visit the vet about it or is it just an age thing?

She might have a uti definitely take her to the vet. I would also add another litter tray and make sure any litter trays are scrupulously clean. And keep the doors shut. It's not inevitable that she will find a way in if everyone in the house keeps the doors shut.

Years ago I had a cat who started using the carpet as a toilet (age 13). The vet ruled out any medical problems and said it was old age, sadly she had to be PTS as there was no where we could keep her where she wouldn't be able to use the carpet as a toilet. Hopefully your cat has something treatable

She absolutely needs to see a vet.

I have a cat who has form for this. I have no idea why she did it as she is healthy and has free access to outdoors but she is simply banned from the bedrooms now and doors are kept firmly closed. I suspect it's something to do with the soft texture of the down duvet........

Yep the answer is definitely keep the doors shut. Easier said than done in a house with kids
