Wikkle ginger kitten!!!!
What are you planning on calling it?

Rorytigger · 08/05/2008 13:58

we've decided to call him Tigger. he's verrryyy cute with his little white paws. what age do they get the jabs done and neutered?

aaahhh lovely! boy or girl? My ginger kitten is all grown-up now, he's nearly 1 and just gorgeous. Make sure you take lots of pictures, they really aren't kittens for very long.

geekgirl · 08/05/2008 14:00

ours was neutered at 7 months, they stop growing afterwards so best to leave it quite late (but not too late obviously!). Jabs at 12 and 16 weeks I think, can't remember exactly.

Rorytigger · 08/05/2008 14:05

geekgirl - thanks for that. have pic of him on my phone - if I can work out how to download it I'll post it on profile.

Glad you found then Cod. Pesky little beggers! My old cat Sam 'O' Lamb died about six weeks ago so the house has been odd and feline-less ever since!

Tigger is a great name for a ginger cat
We like odd names for animals that do have a connection with their colour but people have to think about it.
DH had a cat called Porter.....

(cos he was 'Cole' black)

Poncetastic I know.

I want a cat & call it Changes.

Then we can shout "ch ch ch ch Changes..."

We had a cat...... for 5 days.

Dh was allergic despite having pets his whole life before he moved out with me.

I dont think we waited long enough for the symptoms to stop.

I went to the rspca a few weeks ago and he was very firm and siad 'no'

princessmel · 08/05/2008 14:09

What does changes have to do with a colour?? [dim emoticon]

Iklboo · 08/05/2008 14:12

Not colour on that one - it's the David Bowie song where he goes

"ch ch ch ch Changes..."

and ch ch ch is a noise you make when getting a cat's attention

(see, I told you I wasn't safe to be around normal mumsnetters)

princessmel · 08/05/2008 14:12

Oh! I sort of get it......

Iklboo · 08/05/2008 14:14

Don't get me started on how we came about DS's nickname!

Rorytigger · 08/05/2008 14:39

Ikiboo - love where you're coming from!!! DD1 wanted to call him Josephine (!?) So glad we managed to talk her out of that one. I knew someone who had a cat called Colin. Really suited him aswell.

Have fun with kitty.

cyteen · 08/05/2008 15:00

! Expect to spend the next few weeks being divebombed throughout the night, mourning your soft furnishings, finding poo in your plantpots and sitting in the same place for hours on end because the kitten is sleeping on you and looks too cute to be disturbed.

My two are great hulking cats now, no more kitty frolics for me
