onepieceoflollipop · 28/04/2008 13:22

Your poor cat. Sorry to hear about the loss of the other kittens. Hope the mum cat is ok (and you as well)

Beautiful pictures, almost as cute as your baby.

Looking out for a thread in Baby Names now, you could start one on behalf of your cat!

DD named him withion seconds of seeing him this morning, unfortunately she walked in the kicthen just as I was discovering the dead ones (cat gave birth in her litter tray overnight) so to take her mind off it (not that she was that bothered she understands its just 'natures way') I let her see and name the live one.
He is called Marmaduke

onepieceoflollipop · 28/04/2008 13:52

Fab name. Marmaduke Squalor.

GrapefruitMoon · 28/04/2008 13:54

Our late cat used to love the printer - she also used to race down as soon as she heard it starting - but she never tried to get at the paper - just used to sit there watching & listening!

You can train them to stay in an area chosen by you and go no further. As you would know if you read 'Shoot the Dog'.
Seriously,it will change your life.

RTKangaMummy · 28/04/2008 14:44

Mine are scared of the printer, it's too loud.

They are however very interested in all the flies that seem to be appearing, they watch the seagulls all day on the opposite roof and make clicking noises at them....

....they still run up the curtains, rip up the carpets, dig up the houseplants, sit on any magazines or homework the kids are doing. They drink from the toilet and cry if i go and do a wee....they ALWAYS do stinky stinky poos the minute after i have changed the cat litter...they lie in the middle of the hall at rush hour waiting for someone to trip over, they also have attempted to hide in school bags in the morning waiting to go to school!

..apart from that they are the sweetest thing ever!

suedonim · 28/04/2008 16:18

Aw, they're cute!!! But you don't drink diet coke, do you Cod? It's 'orrible.

A friend of ours in London has a Maine Coon kitten which I suspect is not very bright. Their kitchen has a glass roof and the kitty spends a large part of the day gazing skywards watching the planes passing over on their flight path to Heathrow.

VictorianSqualor · 28/04/2008 16:34

They're lovely cod.

RTKangaMummy · 28/04/2008 16:37

VS How is Marmaduke? and his mum?

Coddy how do we find the Youtube film?

VictorianSqualor · 28/04/2008 16:43

Theyre doing really well RTkanga, I was worried this morning because poor cat seemed really confused, obviously she'd gone into labour after we went to bed, (surprised I didnt hear her meow or anything I was up many a time last night!!) I think two were stillborn and she'd just laid on them until I got up this morning, at which point they were freezing cold so had probably been a while.
As soon as I cmae down she was meowing at me and every time I walked away from her she called me back.
Then she didn't take any notice of Marmaduke, so I had to practically latch him on four times, but just come back from the school run and theyre cuddled up, he's feeding and she has washed herself and was washing him.
