Training schedule

First time poster here. I have a 5 month old puppy who I just adore. I have some serious puppy blues though as I can’t seem to get my puppy to just settle. We walk twice a day for 25 minutes. We do 10 minutes of playing tug or catch. He gets kongs, licky mats, snuffle mats and we do about 3 short training sessions daily. He gets enforced naps but lately he will just whine in the crate even though I know he’s tired. I try not to give in at all but I keep thinking maybe he will just settle outside of the crate but he just paces the room. I should say we have been incredibly lucky with potty training. He is regularly pottied so I don’t think he’s whining for the toilets. Any tips ? Any scheduling advice ? I try to stick to one hour awake two hours asleep and if he’s outgrown that schedule then I will be really sad.

At 5 months many pups start reducing day time sleep. You may "know" he's tired, but he doesn't think so! If he wants to pace, let him pace. He'll settle if he's really tired.

theres Loads of contributing factors here:
What breed is he? What are you training in those sessions? Are you going on the same walk everyday or do you switch it up?
