Babies and cats?

im 19 weeks right now (20 y/o) and have 2 cats, 1 black cat around 4 y/o and 1 tabby around 3 y/o. i don't think they have ever met a baby before, but they both adore the kids that give them a fuss on the street. anyone with both cats and newborns, how did you go about introducing your cats to baby and just any overall advice for the adventure ahead?

also, shall we keep the cats out of the bedroom whilst we all sleep? they both sleep with my boyfriend and i every night so i fear they won't be able to get used to it :/

thank you!

My nieces cats were kept out of the bedroom at night until baby could sit up but they both avoid the baby really.

Cats like to sleep and babies make too much noise.

Hi, I have 2 cats and a now 2yo. Both my cats have very different personalities, one of them really liked my baby when she first arrived and the other one hissed at her as soon as we got in the door. the one that's more shy tends to just keep herself to herself but the other one is really great with my daughter especially now she's a toddler. It really depends on the cat's character. My advice would be to keep the cats away from the baby or to maintain supervision all the time in the early days especially. Cats can easily curl up with babies and risk suffocating them. If either of your cats have an aggressive streak in them then I'd monitor this closely to begin with. A friend of mine had to rehome her cat because it kept trying to attack her baby.
I'd make sure the cats feel they have plenty of safe spaces to hide and to sleep in. Ensure they have plenty of food as well. Cats can feel threatened and more aggressive if they feel they need to compete for food and space.
