appear when there is can tuna open??

Tuna can in kitchen, cat asleep on bed, several hours later cat still asleep on bed.

I really can't believe that it is anything approaching normal domestic cat behaviour.

My cat is the same. He likes his Hills dried food and nothing else - not even those sachets with gravy - yeuch.

CarGirl · 16/04/2008 18:42

But he loves tuna - that is what I don't get, he didn't find the can until I place it in his food dish! Then spent a good 20 minutes giving it a thorough clean.

I can set my watch by his mealtimes.

Mind you who am i to talk about my cat being abnormal when my 23month old DS3 is walking around sucking on half a lemon - that really is yeuch

FeverishFish · 16/04/2008 18:48

Iota · 16/04/2008 18:49

my cat can appear from 3 gardens away at the sound of a tin opener (a bit diappointing for him if i's a can of tomatoes though)

FeverishFish · 16/04/2008 18:49

ours htink he is so hard
yet has been beathn in stare outs by tow old moggies so far

pointydog · 16/04/2008 18:51

Your cat is odd, car.

Does your one also not bum shag swimming costumes, aroused by the chlorine?

FeverishFish · 16/04/2008 18:51

lol!

CarGirl · 16/04/2008 18:51

Iota that's what a mean most cats appear once the tin of tuna has got it's first hole in it, in fact he may have been asleep around the corner last time.

These pedigrees are plain stupid IME

no. ours show no interest in such things.

One of them however, always seems to want to eat whatever leftovers DH leaves on his plate - whether it's chocolate cake, chicken, mash potato etc.... She's a freak. She's also been neutered but thinks she hasnt and goes around the street slutting herself about. Dirty minx. We get all the tom cats in our area lurking about in our garden.

CarGirl · 16/04/2008 18:55

ours has also been neutured but goes around trying to spray everything and wash everyone.

Mine wouldn't care about a tin of tuna but he will greedily eat green bean and bacon soup.
In fact I've always had cats and none of them have been partial to tuna. Now cheese on the other hand...

CarGirl · 16/04/2008 19:04

yes cheese, crisps, ketchup, tomato soup but nothing wakes him up!

Mine never come running at meal times either. They fill themselves up on mice, voles, cute little birdies etc between meals.
How do you stop a cat snacking between meals?

pointydog · 16/04/2008 19:10

pedigree people, pedigree cats. Not good

CarGirl · 16/04/2008 19:13

I would never have chosen to get a pedigree we rehomed him from the RSPCA although to be fair he is typical of his breed (somali) very loving and affectionate but he is def very stupid adn although won't use a litter tray generally not keen on the outdoors.

my cat would have been a pedigree if his mother hadn't had loose morals

CarGirl · 16/04/2008 19:13

snurk
