I saw the saddest thing today

A ginger cat lying dead by the side of the road.

By the way s/he was lying it looked like the neck was broken and there was blood.

I feel so sorry for the owner.

If I had been in the car alone I would have picked him up and put him under a bush. He had just been left there.

Whilst its horrible seeing a dead cat on the side of the road...its best NOT to move it and put him/her under a bush. How would the owner see it?

I would also not have moved it as unfortauntely the owner needs to be able to find it

I didn't see it today but tbh I wasn't looking too hard for it as I didn't want the kids to see it.

Poor little thing.

If you do move them for any reason please take them to a vet surgery where they can be scanned for a microchip and then stored for an owner to come forward and identify. You could always put a note up at the site you move them from to direct them to the vet in case there is no microchip to scan.

I know it's terribly sad, I saw a dead cat today and there was a dead badger on my road. the last time I was on a bus I saw a dead jack russel as well, it's awful.

Not much good eating on any of them, really
