Do you own a guinea pig? Do you have a link to a good hutch/cage?

We'd like to get a guinea pig or two but.....

haven't made our minds up. We have a cat and not sure how she wuold get on with one.

Do you keep yours indoors or out? Something else we'd have to consider.
Would love to see some pics of hutches/runs/cages that other MNers would recommend.

TIA

Domestic cats usually find gps too big to bother (ime).
If kept outside, the cage should be above the ground (keep it warmer), and a certain floor space (so many square inches per gp). Ideally still close to the ground as even short falls can kill gps.
Cage is easier to clean if not too deep.
Needs a tarpalaun roof (keep wet out) and an enclosed area (keep drafts out).
Ours was very much like the one top of this page.

Remember GPs should have hay at all times, they can die with out it and they won't get fat on it.

We have this one much better quality than most of the ones we have seen in pet shops. You can get a 4 ft version.

but they spend most of the day in this type of
run with a little log cabin for them to hide/shelter in.
