My experience of Cinamon Trust, set up to help sick people with dog walking, fostering, etc. Was terrible.
Took lots of info over the phone, sent a volunteer, who seemed to me, had not much clue about meeting dogs. She stuck her hand right into the dogs face upon ebtering the livong room, just as she arrived.
Small elderly westie. She growled. She was rejected as being vicious. No help will be foethcoming. Very firm, try Dogs Trust. Mostly fed up at having hopes raised, time wasted, and just felt like a cog in a well oioed machine. Any how will have to look at rehoming i suspect. My dogs a rescue anyhow

I suspect this is a regular refusal, the woman had the air of judgement about her, not a single bit of friendly eye contact when she came to my house.
I think they are very picky.

Sorry to hear that was your experience. I walked a dog for 3 years as a volunteer for the Cinnamon Trust. I wasn’t at all like the volunteer you were given. Had a friendly chat with the lady who owned the dog before every walk. We built a good rapport. First visit wasn’t a hand in the dog face. Sat chatting to the lady until the dog was comfortable around me. Then offered the dog a walk, which she was keen to do. Was always nice to give the dog treats which helps build a relationship.
Has the Cinnamon Trust heard your side? Wonder if they can give you a different volunteer?

I also think that talking to the Cinnamon Trust sounds like a good idea.

Have you had any success with Borrow My Doggie?
