Hi,
We've recently taken on a 8 month old cocker spaniel, he was just too much for the guy who owned him and after a bad fall my husband ended up saying we'll have him. he's lovely but clearly had no training and he's very over excitable with our 7 year old dog, so much so that he's constantly trying to hump her, she'll tolerate him for a bit then she gets snappy, he doesn't really respond to his name or any commands yet so distraction isn't working, and if we remove him to let him calm down he'll either hump us or anything else he can get hold of or as soon as we bring him back in he starts again.
So I'm looking for some recommendations for training books or videos, especially for the older pups.
He's not yet castrated so hoping he will calm down a little then and I'll definitely be looking into training classes long term too 🙏
