Hi all, I just wanted to share my experience as a full time petsitter for Trusted House Sitters with you because I know there's some discussion and questions around the topic that I hope I can answer for you. My Husband and I have been full time pet sitters through THS for 2 years now, we are doing this as a way to save up for a deposit for a house. Pet sitters for THS are heavily vetted for security when they join and part of your membership fee covers insurance. The same goes for me as the sitter, I pay to be a member and therefore I am insured when I'm looking after your pets.
My husband and I are moving into interesting new territory as we welcome a much longed for baby later this year. There are many families out there that do what we do, with children, and it's very much something we intend to continue when baby arrives.
