Advantage - Not Effective No More - Getting Bites

It's a strange one I have.

Cat is de-flea'd monthly and I've been using Advantage for over a year now, but over the past 2 months or more, I've been getting some bites on my body (mainly legs, though, they're on back/shoulder or sides). The cat doesn't seem to be scratching at all, but the bites do appear to be rather similar to flea bites. They're a little less raised and smaller in size and have a whiteish centre. I do sleep with the window open at night. I have some standing water outside (bowls for wildlife/cat, but they're placed about 12' from my bedroom window, so I don't think they're mozzie bites.

Do you think they're fleas and if so, maybe I need to change the brand to something else? I used to buy Frontline but that became non-effective after sometime, so I'll need to find another brand. Can someone advise, please? TIA.

Our vets refused to issue Advantage as we were in an area where it's no longer effective (the fleas had built up resistance), they prescribed Stronghold instead which worked very well.

Go back to your vet and ask for it/something else. They need to know so they can monitor the resistance areas.
