A nice dog bed?

We have a new dog. Can anyone recommend a nice dog bed? The internet is confusing and I don't like the flimsy ones you get in pet shops.

What breed of dog/size of dog? Did you have a style of bed you were looking for?

Honestly don't bother dogs are arseholes and will sleep anywhere but the bed you've brought for them.

I have recommended Kennelmate dog beds on MN a number of times and would continue to do so. I have big dogs and the dogs love them. Comfy, washable, do not smell, you can change the covers and my dogs have never chewed them. I use a blanket on top of the bed sometimes especially in the winter.

He has a puppy bed, but I just want the best for him when he is an adult.

To be honest the best beds I have used for my dogs have been children's cot mattresses. People obviously replace them between kids and there is zero market for them so they are usually free on marketplace. I then buy waterproof mattress protectors and cot sheets. Easy to wash and keep clean, cheap and easy to replace covers too.

I also have a labrador and wanted a dog bed that would fit in with my aesthetic as well as be comfy! I came across The Dog Sofa Store and their large dog sofas are suitable for labs. My dog loves it and from a practical POV I love how sturdy it is and how easily I can throw the covers in the washing machine.

I really like 2: the HiK9 and the earthbound ones

Dog has both, sleeps on ths Hik9 at night (especially at the moment) as it's cooler for him. Has a fluffy topper when nights are colder. The earthbound is a high sided traditional bed, really snug and cosy. That one is under my desk and he sleeps there when I WFH.

Both have been worth the spendy nature. HiK9 is a dream to wash the toppers and take on holiday as it comes apart, the earthbound one washes well too.

They have, it's a Labrador pup.

I suspect being that this thread is 4mths old they have probably bought the bed by now.............
