I've read a lot online & my sister has bred labs for years so has told me it needs to be someone quiet/remote etc.
My chihuahua is 52 days today so we're setting it up tonight/tomorrow but we haven't done it as can't decide where.
Problem is, she is a needy dog anyway. She loves to be with me and follows me room to room. Our main living area is the lounge but I worry it'll be too loud/busy for her (I also have a 5 month son).
We have a downstairs toilet we could make unusable for a few weeks and put her whelping box in there with the pups but I worry she will HATE being in there with the door closed. I'm aware this could change once the pups are here but currently I can't see her willingly going into it.
We do have a spare room but it's very small and not much space. At night she sleeps in our bed with us so she's always in our bed or the lounge.
Anyway, first time doing this so looking for suggestions. Should I try and make it remote? Or should I keep her close?
