Golden Retriever Advice please

My parents have had 3 golden retrievers. The first 2 were both male and pedigree, the 3rd is half pedigree (mum is but dad not) and female. The 2 males right from puppy stage had no interest in playing with toys apart from the odd ball or rope toy, loads of different things were bought over the years for them to try but there was never any interest. The 3rd dog absolutely loves them, balls, ropes, squeaky, teddies - it doesn't matter, she loves them all and will spend hours playing. My parents were wondering why? Is it a male/female thing or a pedigree thing maybe? Really clutching at straws I know but any insight would be great thanks

We have a female pedigree and she loves toys. She is half working and half show, but pedigree on both sides.
Most golden retrievers love a ball especially. She loves swimming too. Maybe just that all dogs are different :)

@TheOneWithUnagi Yes it quite possibly is just a personality thing. They were just wondering if it goes deeper/more complicated than that.
