Sorry if this is long. We have a cat who is 8yrs. Since a kitten he has had what I can only describe as severe anxiety. He doesn’t sit with us often and he has never sat on anyone’s lap, doesn’t like loud noise (which is rare in this house anyway as we don’t have small children or any other pets), he is an indoor as he is terrified of the outside. We let him go about his business and if he comes to us for the odd stroke then happy days.
In the last couple of months he has started weeing and pooing around the house, and not just a little tinkle etc but full on emptying himself. He’s never done this before and we always have two clean litter trays for him to use as per the vets instructions. The vet gave him a clean bill of health and said he’s just highly anxious so apart from using Feliways (we have 4 already) there’s not much he can suggest.
Does anyone else have a cat like this? I’m so tired of my house being used as a toilet every single day!!
