I am so sorry for your loss. We lost our cat in September 2022. The hardest thing was putting his bowls and toys away. For weeks afterwards I would think I would see him sitting in his favourite place when I walked into a room . You will always miss him but it will get easier over time I promise.

I was always told that sadly one of the responsibilities of owning and loving a pet is that you have to accept that one day you will have to say goodbye no matter how hard it is. He will have known he was loved and you wouldn't have wanted him to suffer.

Sending you big hugs xxxFlowersFlowers

It's bloody awful isn't it but it really does get better in time.

Do you feel up to printing off some lovely photos of them or making a little photo book? If you look online there are some lovely ways to remember your beloved pet Flowers

I'm so sorry for you and your familys loss op. I'm going through the same, had to have my dog put to sleep 30th December after sudden bout of illness which was getting worse and worse despite weekly vet appointments. I got her ashes back and feel a bit of comfort from that as I feel like she's come home. I've been going throught photos on my phone today and sent off on FreePrints and intend putting in a photo frame urn so that she is up on the wall. I did this with my previous dog many years ago and it still gives me comfort that she's inside the frame on the wall. Its very hard, she was my best friend 😢 💔. If I had younger children I think I would get photo cushions made for the kids of their favourite photos. I know from previous dog loss that time does make it easier but I know that doesn't help the present. Take care 💕
