He's only just 1y

He doesn't normally stay out for prolonged periods of time

Never normally goes out at night

Last seen by DP first thing this morning

He's not next door

It's windy and pissing down outside

Do cats do this sort of thing?

What shall I do if he's not back by tomorrow morning?

cats definitely do this sort of thing, so try not to worry.

You are worrying because you are imagining your poor cat out in the wind and the rain, and he must be soooooo cold.

He, on the other hand, is thinking "not going to bother going out again in that rain, I'll wait till it stops then I'll pop home and get my supper. For the time being, I shall just stay here, where I'm warm and dry and everything will be fiiiiiiiiiine.

If he doesn't come home tonight, try not to worry. I would really only worry if he is gone for a couple of days or more.

They do bugger off all the time but it may be worth checking in neighbours sheds etc.Let us know if they turn up xxx

Miggsie · 15/03/2008 20:59

mine once got in a car boot and ended up in there for 3 days!
On the neighbours drive!
Poor thing.
So yours might have done this, so do look in sheds and things

Oh, Thankyou!

Feel a bit more reassured now

He's so lovely... would hate for him to get in a pickle of some sort

Actually, I'm wondering if he's next door(upstairs) as her lights aren't on and she has a housebound, elderly cat. She's told me she's had to turf mine out lots of times because she's caught him eating her cat's food! So with nobody to shoo him away, maybe he's camped down for the night

mine got in a neighbour's boot once. They tried to make me pay for it to be valeted as the cat weed in there

fryalot · 15/03/2008 21:02

oh, if he has a habit of going in neighbours' houses, then that is almost certainly where he is. If it's raining outside, and he is warm and especially if there is food on tap.... yeah, it's got my bet.

I'll pop round tomorrow morning, see if he's there

Thanks for making me feel a bit better! Got a bit emotional when I thought of him not being around

He's back!

Heard him come in about midnight. ABSOLUTELY SOAKED to the skin, God knows where he'd been
Had to dry him off with a towel!

Hopefully he'll stay put for now

Thanks for the reassurances last night
