Kittens - same litter but adopted different days

Hello! We recently adopted two kittens but for reasons that are too boring to detail here, we could only take one home on Monday and her sibling will be coming home tomorrow (Thursday). They’re both female, both 9 weeks, but I’m having the standard late night overthinking, worrying that the few days gap will mean they no longer ‘know’ each other and will struggle to settle well. Our first little kitten has settled in so well already so I’m hoping it won’t be too stressful for her. Any advice or words of wisdom please? X

Well I can't guarantee it but we got our kittens (same father, different mothers - who were siblings and same household), about ten days apart and they did nothing but play together from the minute they were reunited!

This is reassuring! Thank you!

We had the same with our sibling pair (kitten one came home on Sunday, kitten two arrived on Thursday) and they fought like maniacs! I bought a feliway plug-in, think that may have helped. Was sorted within two days max. Hope you enjoy them! Web advice said try and introduce them slowly, let them smell each other’s blankets first - but they just sort of ran at each other and started rolling about 🤣

We took our kitty home at 12 weeks. When she was 16 weeks old we went on holiday and she went back to her cat family (who live close by) while we were away (my friend kept the other two kittens). She slotted right back in with her brother and sister. Years later her brother still came to visit her - they'd sit on the garden wall together. You have nothing to worry about.
