My 9 year cat had a routine dental, she ended up with 5 teeth being removed. Bloods done before and all fine so we went ahead. She was fine at home for 2 weeks and suddenly got sick, very lethargic, diaorrhea and stopped eating. We took her to the emergency vets, they kept her on iv, completed blood work and did a ultrasound, all came back pretty normal. I took her home to get her to try and eat but nothing so we had no choice but to send her back to the vets overnight. She was on iv again. I suggested they look into her mouth as she had the dental 3 weeks prior. She was then referred to a pet dentist who took out some roots and sorted the inflamed teeth. However, as she had not eaten for 3 days prior she had an e tube put in. I have now had her at home 7 days, I am managing to feed her but she's still in a lot of pain so I had to continue with paid meds, she's not herself, sleeps a lot and doesn't really move. I'm absolutely devastated and just don't know what to do next.
