Anyone think three cats is manageable?

We have two sibling cats. They get on. They're 2. We'd like to add a third boy. We also have two dogs. We have plenty of room and money is not an issue they are all insured and on pet plan. My worries are whether a third (kitten) could upset the dynamic? Anyone regret getting three? Is it excessive? We love all our pets.

I have 4. It's both brilliant and a pain. I also clean up a lot of poop and food bowls. Not cheap either! It's an expensive hobby. But I do love them all very much ♥️
They don't all love each other but mostly rub along..

I had 6 at one point ('only' 4 now), and I'm planning on adding to the tribe at some point. If you can afford decent food, vet care and insurance for them, why not?! The more the merrier imo.

I got 2 kittens from a lady down the road whose indoor cat escaped and got pregnant. Then she told me the people who were going to have the little kitten couldn't take her anymore. I told her if she left the little kitten with the mother for 2-3 more weeks then I'd have her. So I got all all more or less at once.

I have 3, no other pets. None are siblings but the first two bonded like they are. All outdoor cats, but kept in overnight.

I love them all so much, but it’s hard work especially as all 3 are so different. They all eat different food. One has a sensitive stomach but will try to eat everything in sight, the other two are fussy. I’ve been trying for years but eventually relented to buying 3 different types they will eat consistently, rather than wasting money binning it. I just have to be careful sensitive tum cat doesn’t polish off the others leftovers.

I can’t do anything in the kitchen without at least one of them wanting something. There’s always a cat bowl or 3 that needs washing. The litter trays are a pain to deal with and take up the box room. Litter gets tracked no matter what I try (I am saving up to get a lean to built, specifically to house the litter trays).

I spend a lot of time cleaning, if I don’t hoover every other day then the rugs are trashed.

We haven’t had a holiday since we’ve had all 3 (not cat related, just general life getting in the way) but when we do it will mean a cat ‘hotel’ atleast £30-40 a day. It wouldn’t be fair to rope in friends or family to manage 3 different foods, 3 litter trays, 3 different routines and 2 of the cats would move out if I paid stranger to come to the house every day.

All that aside, I absolutely love them, they are the best cats in the world and I forget about all of the above as soon as one of them does something remotely cute, like a death stare.
