Do I need to cut Kitty's legs claws? They stick out always. Can I do it myself or should I take to vet?

Supply a scratching post and leave well alone. Presumably you need your eyes op?

I would probably trim them myself if kitty would allow, otherwise you can pay for it

I have always trimmed all of my cat's front claws. It's usually a once a month or so event and only takes a minute. Scratching posts aren't enough to keep their claws at a healthy length, especially if they are indoor cats, and keeping them trimmed prevents them from damaging your furniture. I have never trimmed their back claws as they don't need it.

If she's co operative you could trim them. If not, vet will do it when you have vaccinations if you don't want to make extra trips. My cats get six monthly check ups with the vet nurse and they can do it too.
Scratching post to encourage her to do it herself too.

Thanks for the replies. I was worried as they are now it would be uncomfortable but that doesn't seem to be the case from what I read so I will try trim them myself
