Tips to deter foxes from the cat's grave.

Hi, sorry for the morbid title.
My sweet cat is still with us, but I'm taking him to the vet this week. 😢
I would prefer to bury him in the garden rather than have him cremated, and have started digging a hole. I have a very large log which I can put on top for a few months then I'm hoping to plant something in the spot to remember him by.

We have lots of foxes in our London garden
Any tips would be much appreciated.

This is the spot; not super accessible for a fox, but I know they are quite determined.

It needs to be much deeper, I buried my parent’s dogs 3-4ft down. I’d also suggest a couple of bricks or a paving slab about a foot deep so that would help deter them if they did start digging.

I've got four buried in the garden. I Bury them at least three feet and put a paving slab on top. None of them were dug up and we have lots of foxes. You can buy single slabs from DIY shops.

Agree. That hole isn't nearly deep enough or big enough.
And slab on top with pot plant on it.

Thanks. Yes, agree re depth of hole; I'm not finished, but hadn't planned on 4ft! Eek. I might get OH to lend a hand.

A slab half way up if a good idea.
Thank you.

Our cat is buried in the garden - the hole is at least 5ft deep.
