Dog just ate a baby wipe!

My dog just ate a baby wipe off the side that I'd just wiped DS face and hands with.
He gulped it down so quickly I didn't have time to grab it!
He's a yorkie cross (like a yorkie on stilts),
It was a Huggies 99% water wipe so shouldn't be any toxins.
I've googled it and it and advise varies... some sites say let nature take its course but monitor closely, other sites advise inducing vomiting.
Has anyone experienced this before and has any advice please?

My dog has done this. A similar size breed to yours. Keep an eye on him. With mine it did work itself through his system and he pooped it out - it was very obvious when it came out. It was was long and white with poop mixed in. Sorry if that was TMI.

Thank you @ChunkyCheese how long did it take? It only happened half hour ago

My cockapoo has done this several times on walks, he gulps them down before I get a chance to take them off him. It’s usually sicked up, if not I guess it comes out the other end! Keep a close eye on him.

I know a lady whose lab done this, took 2 or 3 days irc, and it needed a bit of help in terms of getting out of his bum as it was left dangling from his back end. Get your gloves ready!

Yes, this is one aspect I forgot to say, it got a bit stuck with my dog too. If you need to pull be gentle just incase it’s stuck, but as long as you can see a lot of the wipe it will be fine.
It came out the next day with mine @EmbracingTheEyeBags

In the past 2 years we have had 1 ddog eat 5 mince pies. 1 eat a flip flop all except the toe post bit.. Mince pie thief also ate a huge chocolate brownie and 2 Easter eggs.
Flip flop beast ate a load of foil.
Absolutely twats are ddogs ime.

I bet a wipe doesn't hit the sides.. Literally...
As a dc I watched in horror as dm removed a whole shoe lace from our rottweiler's bum...

A flip flop!!! 🫣 oh my goodness!!!
I will keep a close eye on him and follow him out to his poops with my glove on! Thanks for the stories, they have actually made me feel a bit less worried hearing of the things some of yours have eaten.
My only worry was it was in a scrunched ball shape I just hope it doesn't get stuck somewhere 🤞
The bugger left the 2 tiny choc brownie pieces that were left on DS plate funnily enough and opted for the wet wipe 🤔 weirdo

You will know if it's causing him any issues as he will vomit, stop eating and become lethargic and depressed. It will very likely pass through fine but if there are any issues with him then just get him booked into the vet ASAP!
