Any bengal cat fans here?

On the way home from school this morning I came across an absolutely stunning silver bengal cat. It looked just like a miniature snow leopard. Beautiful rosettes, strong, lean and tall. I've wanted one for a long time and its lucky I didnt stuff it into my rucksack. I've never seen one in real life.

I was trying to figure out if I should try and find some id in its collar barrel. I can't imagine letting one of those beauties wander outside. They are far too nickable (not to mention expensive) when another Mum came along and commented 'that cat gets everywhere, it was by the scout hut last week.' It didnt look hungry so we guessed it must be one thats allowed to wander.

I'm hoping to see it again. I might make more of an effort to find out its owner and call them on the pretext of saying what a beautiful cat it is - just in case it has slipped the house.

we had 2 but one was run over and one disappeared.

the love the great outdoors and are keen hunters - we found it impossible to keep them in

mine were golden brown and glittered in the sunlight. they were stunning

Iota
I did wonder if their nature would make them hard to keep in. Were they gorgeous? *sorry daft question, I'm sure they were) What sort did you have?

wineisthewaytomyheart. Are ragdolls hard to groom? they look so cuddlable. I can imagine snuggling right into one.

I've got 3 ordinary moggies and don't normally worry about them except our Bad cat was poisoned last week. I'm terrified of her getting into it again.

I don't think dh would be too happy if I started hankering after more cats.

my friend has one, he is [row of throbbing love heart emoticons]

I really like the noises he makes, he is a bit mean to other cats though. I'm sure it's very very wrong to mix wild cat genes with domestic ones but aren't the results stunning?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 15/02/2008 18:46

So you are saying I shouldn't sneak him into my house and hope he gets on with the other cats vacua?

this one didnt make any noises if i see him again I shall try poking him! (joke!)

/dreamy hope to see him again
/wakes up and I've fallen in love with a cat!

mine hated other cats

they also did a strange jaw trembling thing and a kkkkk noise when they watched the birds through the window.

but they were very loving towards people and good with children

I have a Bengal cross (nephew) now and he is gorgeous too but not glittery

he is very noisy - makes fantastic mieowing and growling noises (often in the middle of the night)

PurlyQueen · 15/02/2008 18:52

Someone in my neighbourhood has a Bengal which has a coat that looks like a leopard. It's beautiful but I'd be too scared that someone would steal it.
One of my cats is a 'Himalayan' (persian/siamese cross) but he is a big wuss and never goes further than the front gate, so I never worry about him straying.

Iota · 15/02/2008 18:55

mine came from LLandar

look at those gorgeous pictures

I have a brown spotted breeding queen, she is currently screeching the house down as she is in season. She is stunning!

She goes out but does not wander far from the house and is always in at night
