Worms in cats - symptoms

Folks,

Does anyone know the symptoms of worms in cats? I looked on the web and the answer seems to be that they either eat like a horse or they lose their appetite all together.

My cat hasn't really lost his appetite but has gotten slowly thinner (over the last 4 weeks). Has this happened to anyone else? He won't take tablets you see or I'd just worm him so I have to take him to the vet and get an injection (vet can't even give him a tablet!) and this is very expensive. Just wondered - it's probably 'cos he is getting older, he has no other symptoms at all.

I think you can get spot on worming treatment now for cats if that would help?

Yeah look here
The Bob Martin stuff, I've seen it in sainsburys.
I'd treat the cat just incase with some of that stuff.

VS is right you can get spot on treatment from the vets - costs about £5.00.

It does sound as though your cat could have worms. If you are at all concerned I'd take him for a quick check up at the vets.

Thanks - I've phoned the vets and I'm going to go in and get the treatment tonight
